Reedsburg Makers’ Challenge – May 2024

This month's challenge is to make something that represents "Summer."

Starts now (May 2nd) until the end of the month.

If you are a maker in the Reedsburg area (within 30 minutes), here's your chance to show off what you can do. We want to see something unique. All forms and styles of making are allowed. Create your own version of the item in your signature style. Whether it's baking a cake, writing a song, carving a wax candle or crocheting a pattern on a blanket, give it a go!

Rules and Guidelines:

- Must be a member of the Reedsburg Area Makers group on Facebook.
- Must live or work within 30 minutes of Reedsburg.
- If you plan to participate, please mark the Facebook event as "Going" so we know how many people we are competing against.
- Keep it appropriate and respectful.
- No size restrictions.
- Take pictures of your process; if you win we will want to see it come to life.
- Do NOT submit previously made pieces. Please make something new, specifically for the event, so that everyone has the same amount of time to make it.
- Deadline is the last day of the month at midnight.
- Post one photo of your completed creation in the comments on the Facebook event post when you're done (link below).
- If you won first place the previous month, you cannot enter this month.

Voting:

All of the creations will be posted in a poll on the first of next month so we all have an equal chance. Contestants may vote for their own creation. Anybody can vote as long as they join the group. You may vote for multiple creations.

1st place winner's creation will be displayed at Lucy's Main Street Mercantile for all of next month.
